I took this at the Grand Prismatic Lake in Yellowstone National Park. Here was another instance where I was disappointed because I wanted to capture all the rainbow colors of the lake but it was so chilly that morning that the hot water from the lake was steaming like crazy and completely covering the colorful portions that I had hoped to capture. But as I took pictures I shot this one and now as I reflect I think the steam looks so much better than a flat lake with some fun colors. Disappointment in photography can be the best thing that can happen to you, because your camera sometimes has better plans for you than you had for yourself.
