Holly Disk with Stand
This design grew out of my inability to throw anything away and also from my playing around with various plate stands. Not liking any of the commercially available stands I started gluing up pieces of Poplar and carving them to fit platters and plates. Looking for a use for the many small bits of wood I hoard, I turned a few discs. Putting the two ideas together yielded this design and several variations.
