Notes from the Artist:
Growing up in New York I was taught to draw by my father who was an artist working in the Museum of National History in NYC. I loved drawing from a very young age and my father encouraged me to keep going. I studied fine art at SUNY New Paltz in Upstate New York. After graduating I worked as a graphic artist and did freelance illustrations.
In 1995 I moved to Ireland where I met a married my husband Pat. The art career went on hold while we renovated a barn on his family’s farm, During that time I worked as a weaver for 5 years at Mucross House in Killarney.
Once the house was built I left my job as a weaver and turned my attention back to my art and started an art school for children. This gave me flexible hours to continue to work as an artist.
I recently opened th Back Lane Gallery on New Market Lane in Killarney
Killarney and the surrounding towns and villages have the most incredible landscapes and makes it a perfect place to be an artist. I hope you enjoy my work!
