Notes About the Artist:
Dudink’s work provokes the viewer to question life: their own and other’s place in life. His work comprises of landscapes of tiny subjects squeezed or literally thrown together in a confined space; each seemingly similar, yet each completely unique.
The pieces show how we live. When we view the work we ask ourselves what are these creatures, these beautiful yet somehow sinister creatures? They describe us, and others, who live in contemporary society. Sidestepping and brushing past each other, trying to define our differences, yet, viewed from high above, looking remarkably alike.
Now Dudink is taking a step back, going down one dimension. From the beautiful 3D perspectives, he is now playing with the 2D. His new series will be revealed to the public later this year, and can be seen on Vault17.
